Ideal slow-cooker size: 3-or 4-qt.
1 lb. frying chicken, cut up and skin removed (organic or free-range, if
possible) 10¾-oz. can condensed tomato soup
¾ cup onion, chopped
¼ cup vinegar
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. dried basil
1. Place chicken in slow cooker.
2. Combine all remaining ingredients and pour over chicken, making sure that
the sauce glazes all the pieces.
3. Cover. Cook on low 6-8 hours.
